Job Description: 

United Scenic Artists, Local USA 829, IATSE is accepting applications for the position of Live Performance Contracts Administrator in New York City.

The Live Performance Contracts Administrator reports to the Business Representative for Live Performance, facilitates timely and accurate processing of designer contracts, and is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing mail for the office as well as extensive data entry. This position is based in our National/Eastern Region office in New York City. Note that this position will primarily require working in person at the office full-time and being fully vaccinated.

 

Description of Duties:

  • Process all incoming mail
  • Identify and resolve issues that may delay or prevent contract processing
  • Communicate contract procedures to employers, designers, and agents
  • Accurately record contract and benefit information in the union’s database for a wide variety of agreements
  • Facilitate the return of fully executed contract documents to employers via snail mail and email as required
  • Scan and upload all contract coversheets, riders, and supporting documentation into the Union’s database for easy retrieval by members and Business Representatives
  • Assist Business Representatives with department filing and organization

 

Skills Requirements

  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written business communication skills
  • Strong computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with data entry and electronic record-keeping
  • Comfortable with office equipment including telephone, scanner, printer, and photocopier
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information
  • Knowledge of live performance (theatre, opera, and dance) industry preferred

 

The salary for this position is $60,000 plus an excellent benefit package, including both a defined benefit pension and generous 401(k) match.
