The undergraduate Design & Production degree program is part of the Department of Theatre & Drama. D&P students have broad interests and participate in course work in all concentrations (stage management, lighting, scenery & costumes). They represent diverse identities, backgrounds and experiences. The Department commits to inquiry and self-assessment, ongoing dialogue, and above all, to actions that will lead to equitable theatre processes.
Duties: This one term (15 week) appointment carries an instructional load of teaching two courses for the Department of Theatre & Drama, and designing the lighting for one show for the University Productions* season. Teaching will be one advanced lighting design course and one course in digital media based on the applicant’s strengths and artistic profile. Additional teaching spaces, technology and curricular partnerships are available with the neighboring Duderstadt Center. Additional responsibilities include (Fall term) advising and mentoring 2 advanced student lighting designers on their produced design assignments or (Winter term) advising and mentoring one advanced lighting student and participating as a respondent at our annual portfolio review in late January.

Salary: $25,500 per semester, salary commensurate with experience, higher salary may be considered for exceptional candidate
