What is in those paints, stains and dyes we use? We get the safety data sheets (SDS), but how accurate are they? What should we really know about Bin Primer, Aqualock acrylic, General Finishes stains, Rit dyes, and the other common products we use? Let’s gather together to familiarize ourselves with the basic ingredients in water-based and solvent based paints and the pigments and dyes used to give them color. We’ll make sense of some actual SDSs on these products and how to use them safely and avoid exposure to their hazardous ingredients.
