Participants will receive a foundation of intricate skills and a general overview in the various techniques of faux wood graining. Here, you'll learn the techniques and materials used to achieve several wood grain finishes, and you will acquire an understanding of color theory and glazing application for this technique. This workshop will ensure that you can create a lot of effect in fewer steps, creating realistic wood grains fast and efficiently.
Please note that for each workshop there will be a one-hour lunch break (lunch is not provided). In addition, Art Cake is two blocks from Industry City (with over 50 nearby restaurants). The facility is a short walk from the 36th Street D/N/R stop in Brooklyn and a 15 minute walk from the Brooklyn Army Ferry Terminal.
