Stewards are union leaders who monitor the workplace and are the first to address the everyday problems that rank-and-file workers face. The legal rights of the union, stewards, and other rank-and-file employees come from a variety of different laws, statutes, and documents. Union stewards are protected by this very same act, and—like any other rank and file worker—they cannot be punished for assisting the union. This presentation will explain what is to be expected of an IATSE steward, and the essential qualities that a steward should possess. Susan Gammie & Pat Landers, Instructors. Click here to apply.
