Course Description:

This important 2 full day safety training is the new curriculum developed by the IATSE and OSHA as a step towards the goal of creating standardized safety training in our industry. The curriculum is customized for and uses examples from the Entertainment Industry. Modules include: elevated work platforms, exits and egress, walking work surfaces, fall protection, ergonomics, material handling, hand and power tools. Special emphasis is placed on those areas that are the most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide. There will be an OSHA general card issued upon completion of class.

Beverly Miller is President of Local USA 829 since 1996, Business Representative of Film and TV in the Eastern Region until 2015, Charge Scenic Artist on commercials, films, scenic in shops and at the Met, serving the members in the office as the Business Representative for Safety and Training since November 2015,  Vice Chairperson Selikoff Center Mt. Sinai Advisory Board for Occupational Health and Trustee on the IA Training Trust Fund.
