This class will examine examples of successful web portfolios, looking at why they work and what details will help get you the next job. Concepts like hierarchy of information, planning and image management will be covered, as well as an overview of the different hosting and design companies available to make self-publishing easier. Attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop for sharing their site and questions, there will be some in-person troubleshooting.
Nick Noble is a Graphic and Computer Artist, fabricating work for film and television such as The Deuce, Can You Ever Forgive Me?, Maniac, and The Irishman. Outside of the industry, Nick has helped some of the biggest and the smallest companies in the world build brands, websites, products, and audiences through his skills as a design, code, and user experience consultant. He lives in Brooklyn with two cats and three typewriters.
Maggie Ruder is a Production Designer and Computer Artist, and has worked as the exam co-chair for the Computer Artist category for the past several years. Her graphics work ranges from high tech motion screens for a Blacklist: Redemption to period specific work for shows such as Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and The Five.
