Course Description:

Design mobile apps without a line of code. Learn to create high fidelity app prototypes to be operated by actors or remotely. This class is for Computer Artists and will focus on designing/prototyping with Protopie software for live playback on screens. Participants will learn to design and test apps such as messaging, "instagram", phone calls and more. Participants should be prepared for a hands on class and bring their computer with Protopie installed. Also bring a phone with Protopie player installed. A free 30 day trial version is available @ and Protopie player is available free from google play store or or app store.

Program Instructor:

André Azevedo is a Brooklyn based interactive and graphic designer who fell in love with video.  Usually he spends time creating interactive & video for TV shows as a video playback operator and in his spare time he works on interactive video installations. He has worked in advertising, web design and video for over 3 decades and has done graphics for major corporate clients, arts organizations, activists, musicians and so many more, including: Citibank, Microsoft, IBM, HP, Kind Bars. On set André has worked in many TV and Film projects including: The Good wife, Trainwreck, Manifest, Instinct, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, The Good wife, Looming Towers. In addition to being a Local 52 member in the video department, André has recently been accepted as a member of Local 829 as a computer artist.
