Course Description:

These beginner-intermediate classes will be aimed at going back to Vectorworks 101, focusing on the needs of set designers. Learn the proper use for classes and layers, setting up viewports, sheet layers, shortcuts & quick-keys, and those handy everyday tools that will make the program work best for you. For this class, you should be prepared to bring a laptop with a working copy of Vectorworks and a mouse.  Sign up for 1, 2, or all 3 sessions!  

Program Instructor:

Erica received her BFA from Carnegie Mellon University in Fine Art, and her MFA from The Theatre School at DePaul University in Scenic Design. Since coming to New York , Erica has worked as an associate for Derek McLane ( Beautiful: The Carole King Musical – The Heiress – Follies – Anything Goes – Ragtime ), as well as a model builder for Robert Brill ( Assassins – Streetcar named Desire – Bang Bang Andrew Jackson – Mask the musical ). She has collaborated with fellow scenic designer Shoko Kambara on several productions as assistant designer/scenic charge, including Six Available Men, Pulling the Lever, Like You Like It. , Nerds, Love Sucks, and Save the World. Additionally, she had worked extensively as a scenic artist, as well as with New York Mural Artist Andrew Tedesco, and The Gary Musik Company in Nashville , TN. In the fall of 2007, Erica served as Adjunct Faculty at Fairleigh Dickinson University teaching Scenic Design and Painting.
