This class will go over simple wood graining and faux marble and simple aging and distressing for theater versus film/tv. Participants are asked to bring in printed (Not On Phone) pictures of simple wood grain, marble, and aged plaster walls. Participants should have paint clothes to change into, and be prepared to set up, and clean up. A Local 829 Business Rep will discuss scenic crew positions and the breakdown of the roles/responsibilities of: scenic charge, foreperson, journeyman, industrial, shop steward & apprentice.
Nancy Orr has been a member of USA Local 829 since 1986. She was a long-time charge artist at Showman Fabricators and is now an integral part of the USA 829 Apprentice Program, both in curriculum development and instruction. She recently helped develop the first ever USA 829 Materials Fair.
